Job Description:

  • Assists the Property Manager with the ongoing leasing and administrative functions of the property.
  • Prepare move-in files, take applications, answer telephone inquiries
  • Show apartments to prospective residents,
  • Process applications
  • Process annual recertifications
  • Lease renewals
  • Conduct resident orientation
  • Prepare and follow-up on maintenance work orders
  • Other duties as assigned by the Property Manager

Qualifications:              

  • High School/GED required, some college preferred
  • Prior experience as a leasing consultant is preferred
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and write clearly
  • Must be highly enthusiastic, sales oriented, and love working with the public
  • Some Fair Housing knowledge required
  • Low income housing experience is a plus
  • Computer proficiency required
  • Must pass a background check, pre-employment drug testing, and approval by the Chicago Housing Authority
