JOB DESCRIPTION:       

  • Responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, and implementing all Resident Services activities, programs and services.
  • Establish networks with agencies and service providers in the community who will provide direct services to residents.
  • Work with team to provide effective leadership and assistance to residents and staff.
  • Markets and recruits residents to participate in the activities, programs, and services offered by McCormack Baron Management, CHA, and other service providers.
  • Provide general case management which includes intake, (services available and application procedures) and referrals of residents to service providers in the general community.
    • These social services may include, home health aides, utility financial assistance agencies; rental financial assistance if necessary varies case by case.

 QUALIFICATIONS:         

  • Must have the ability to work with a team and utilize the team approach to service delivery
  • Proven effectiveness in program design, implementation, and management
  • Ability to effectively relate and interact with people of diverse cultural, social and economic backgrounds
  • Have a working knowledge of various resources and service providers in the Chicago area
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability for effective presentations
  • Excellent leadership and motivational skills required
  • Experience working with senior citizens individuals with disabilities
  • Experience in conflict resolution and crisis intervention
