Ideal Candidate

The Accounts Payable Supervisor will lead and supervise accounting staff and vendor processing initiatives for McCormack Baron Management.  The Accounts Payable Supervisor will thrive in an environment that is fast paced, have strong problem solving abilities when issues may arise, and should take pride in developing a strong team!

Under the leadership of the Vice President of Accounting, the Accounts Payable Supervisor will work closely with the Accounting team to identify ways to improve processes and meet deadlines. The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for oversight of the processing of invoices and checks for payment, researching and responding to questions and concerns in a timely manner, and acts as a backup to employees as necessary.

Position Summary

The Accounts Payable Supervisor will lead and supervise accounting staff and vendor processing initiatives for McCormack Baron Management.  The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for oversight of the processing of invoices and checks for payment, researching and responding to questions and concerns in a timely manner, and acts as a backup to employees as necessary.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervision of Accounts Payable team and all vendor processing
  • Coaching and training to ensure consistency of team and personal growth of individuals
  • Process corporate invoices including verifing, approving, coding, copying and entering into the Yardi system.
  • Verify information entered into Yardi by site personnel is accurate and complete before forwarding for posting.
  • Process payment selections, verifing totals in Yardi to selections submitted, printing checks, obtaining signatures as necessary, and mailing.
  • Review and process void checks in Yardi software after verifying check has not cleared the bank.
  • Upload payroll and HR related items to Yardi software for processing.
  • Verify information and submit to appropriate agency by the required deadlines.
  • Assist with testing new software and software upgrades.
  • Back up Accounts Payable Clerk and Vendor Processing positions as necessary.
  • Set up new vendors in the Yardi system after verifying appropriate approvals.
  • Respond and resolve research or training issues from sites, vendors and staff.
  • Implement process efficiencies on an on-going basis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office with high proficiency in Excel
  • Yardi experience is a plus but not required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a deadline driven environment
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of company personnel and outside vendors
